Leah is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from The Ohio State University. Her experience includes working with children, adults, and families in community mental health, K-12 schools, and inpatient and outpatient hospital settings.
Leah specializes in working with individuals aged 13 and older. She is dedicated to creating a safe and affirming space that supports racial justice, diversity, and the rights and well-being of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Her work focuses on helping clients address challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, grief and loss, parenting, and life transitions.
Leah uses an integrative therapeutic approach that is client-centered, trauma-informed, and incorporates interventions rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, I-REST Meditation, Parts Work, and Attachment-Based theories. Her approach often involves exploring the mind-body connection and relationships to rituals, nature, spirituality, gratitude, intention, and simplicity.
Leah views therapy as a collaborative process and strives to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters honest self-exploration. She sees therapy as an opportunity to cultivate curiosity about one’s past and present in order to create new pathways for the future.
