Over the course of our lives, we all encounter experiences that can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the person we want to be. Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand those experiences, discover new ways of coping, and create meaningful change that lasts beyond the therapy room.
For more than 25 years, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of emotional and life challenges. My professional experience includes public health, residential treatment, corrections, inpatient psychiatric care, partial hospitalization, community mental health, and adolescent crisis response. These diverse settings have shaped my belief that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Every person brings their own story, strengths, and goals to therapy.
I work with adults (18+) experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, anger, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, women’s issues, and major life transitions. Whether you’re adjusting to parenthood, coping with the loss of a loved one, navigating divorce, managing college or career demands, or working through the effects of past experiences, therapy can provide a place to gain insight, develop new skills, and move forward with greater confidence.
I am especially passionate about supporting those in helping professions, including counselors, social workers, nurses, teachers, healthcare providers, and first responders. People who spend their lives caring for others often neglect their own needs. I enjoy helping fellow helpers recognize the impact of compassion fatigue, secondary traumatic stress, and burnout while finding healthier, more sustainable ways to care for themselves.
I strive to provide an affirming and inclusive environment where individuals of all backgrounds and identities, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, feel respected, valued, and supported.
My work is guided by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, trauma-informed care, and existential and humanistic perspectives. Rather than following a predetermined approach, I tailor therapy to your unique experiences and goals, helping you build on your strengths while creating lasting, meaningful change.
I provide in-person counseling at our Gahanna office, welcoming adults from throughout the Columbus area. I look forward to helping you build the insight, resilience, and confidence to create meaningful, lasting change.
