Every child deserves a place where they feel safe, understood, and accepted. I strive to create that kind of environment so children and teens can build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and work through life’s challenges at their own pace.
I work with children and adolescents ages 5 to 17 who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, grief, and life transitions. My goal is to help each child feel comfortable enough to express themselves while providing families with the tools and support they need along the way.
Because every child is unique, I tailor therapy to fit their personality, developmental stage, and individual needs. Building trust and connection is always my first priority. Once that foundation is established, I use creative, engaging approaches—including play-based techniques—to help children explore emotions, strengthen problem-solving skills, and learn healthier ways to cope with difficult situations.
I believe parents and caregivers are an important part of the therapeutic process. By working together, we can identify meaningful goals, celebrate progress, and create practical strategies that support your child both during therapy and at home.
My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and play-based interventions. I am continuing to expand my training and experience in Play Therapy to better serve the children and families I work with.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Middle Childhood Development and Education from The Ohio State University and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. My experience in hospitals, schools, and community mental health has allowed me to support children and families through a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.
I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments and enjoy partnering with families to help children discover their strengths, build resilience, and reach their goals.
